Hitting the target with your kids?

As a parent we have this idea of giving our kids everything emotionally and physically that we think we didn’t have growing up!  A major discernment hit me this year!  I can’t be everything in their lives!  While the bar is high for us parents to do just that. The one thing I have noticed is,  the people God has put in my life that my children can glean from.

Some words of wisdom are better received from our closest friends in ways we can’t get through.  No matter how hard we try an objective opinion from an outside source can be a breakthrough at times.

Truer words have n-e-v-e-r been spoken … we have all had those ideals Kel … wanting to be everything to those we love (especially our children) and missing the mark!

Only one person can be that to any of us and that is our LORD!

As your only living parent … I can only speak for myself, but you have never been more loved; and I’ve probably never messed up at anything more because many times life in general and being left to raise children alone made it difficult for me to fulfill the desire that was in my heart.

After Chrisitianity … the challenges became easier, but even in the times of trials and tests we Christians have ~ I fell short of my own ideals of being a perfect Mother and when we see our own shortcomings it helps us not to judge the faults of others.

with Love and Prayers, MOM

PS ~ I am very proud of what you do for Christ, it has all indeed been answered prayers to this Mother’s plea before the throne of Grace; as has your marriage and precious children, that I love so dearly.
